“Swim Wales are delighted to support this year's Gemau Cymru.  The games will provide an opportunity for young people in education to compete in a prestigious event which gives young people the opportunity to volunteer in roles relating to the conduct and administration to help nurture young leaders in the future”

We are still awating confirmation of our 2013 Ambassador.

"I started swimming when I was around 4 in learn to swim classes, and from there I progressed through various squads to a competitive level. My main swimming event is 400IM, its a hard event because it includes all 4 swimming strokes! I guess my breakthrough was at the age of 15, I started winning British Junior championships and breaking Junior records. At 15 I was the fastest in the world in my event for my age.
From then on I have competed at 2 Commonwealth games, European Championships and World championships. The highlights of my career are competing at the 2008 Beijing Olympic games, and breaking a Commonwealth record at the 2009 World Championships in Rome."
