Selection Process 

Selection process of each sport has been advised by the relevant National Governing Body of that sport. Once the selection process has been confirmed the website will be updated and successful competitors will be sent a formal Gemau Cymru invitation pack.  Please refer to each sport to see if the selection process and competitors are confirmed.

If you’re not fortunate enough to be invited this year register your interest to volunteer at Gemau Cymru, or come and support.  Many of this years’ competitors have been invited following successful campaigns at different Urdd Gobaith Cymru sports tournaments, visit the Urdd Sport Pages for more information.

Medical Support

A very big thank you must go , to Cardiff University Department of Physiotherapy who are providing physiotherapy cover for the Games. A hundred physiotherapist, ranging from final year students to some of their most experience senior therapist will be in attendance in the Athletes Village and at every competition venue. A number of these physiotherapist have been involved in previous Olympic and Paralympic games and are all committed to bringing their expertise and the experiences gained to Gemau Cymru in order that our elite young athletes will fully appreciate and benefit from the unique opportunities that a sporting event such as this will provide.
