The Big Pit

How about visiting the Big Pit coalmine in Blaenavon, Torfaen? You can travel underground with experienced former coalminers, explore the pithead baths, exhibitions and mining galleries, use educational packs and see the original Big Pit buildings including the Fan House, the Blacksmiths' Yard, the Stables and the Engine House. You can also see craftsmen at work on specific days.
