We have a responsibility to ensure that children and young people are protected. The Urdd has a child protection policy which states clearly the procedures for protecting children.
Urdd Gobaith Cymru wishes to protect children from harm. Staff and volunteers in this organisation accept and acknowledge their responsibility to promote child protection issues. We must ensure that our behaviour does not cause worry, or is in any danger of being misinterpreted. We have a responsibility to ensure that our children are protected from harm.

CRB Checks
The Urdd’s policy is to ensure that all full time and part time staff receive a CRB check. Those volunteers who work in the community who are regularly in close contact with children and young people and are also CRB checked.
Child Protection Instruction and Training
Full time and part time staff at the Urdd receive training and clear instructions on child protection issues. This includes:
